Citron (The Lemon) by Québec based artist Philippe Lareau explores simple scenes and motifs to create a dialogue between the viewer and his artwork. Set atop a deep yellow tabletop, a stylized lemon and organic black spoon create a striking composition that celebrates colour and form. A single shadow creates a sense of depth within the work, allowing the objects to become the hero of this still life. Frame not included.
